Marathon screening of student documentaries at the Pantheon Cinema in Nicosia
A two-day screening program, with documentaries created by gymnasium, high schools, and technical school students from Cyprus, on 15 and 16 June 2024, at the Cinema Pantheon, in Nicosia, will conclude this year’s Educational Section of the AEI Film Festival. (Cyprus International Festival of Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Documentaries.) CINeDUCATION. It is a two-day event with screenings of ten-minute works created by students which over time have evolved into a visual recording of the history, customs, and traditions of Cyprus.
The screenings start at 10:00 in the morning, on Saturday 15 June 2024. On Sunday screenings also begin at 10 am!
The event will end on Sunday 16 June, at 8:00 pm, with the award ceremony to announce the winners of this year’s CINeDUCATION action. The CINeDUCATION Action is being implemented for the seventh consecutive year, in the framework of the mission of the non-profit cultural organization AEI AUDIOVISUAL FORUM to develop the skills of young people through innovative educational activities, on issues related to cultural heritage and audiovisual literacy, while contributing to the development of critical thinking and empathy.
The CINeDUCATION Action is implemented in cooperation with the UNESCO ASPnet (UNESCO Associated Schools Network) in Cyprus and the Ministry of Education. The Action is sponsored by the Department of Contemporary and Contemporary Art and Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus, which is the main sponsor, the Cyprus National Commission for UNESCO, and the Cyprus Radiotelevision Authority.
