SYNOPSIS:

The film documents the first systematic archaeological survey around Kasos Island, led by maritime archaeologist Xanthi Argyris. The team has conducted 220 dives, scanning 60 km of shoreline, discovering ten shipwrecks, and recovering 108 archaeological artifacts. Their work enhances the understanding of the Aegean Sea’s underwater archaeology.

ΒΙΟGRAPHY

Stelios Apostolopoulos studied electrical engineering and cinematography in Athens. He is an acclaimed cinematographer & director with 35 years of experience in documentary, fiction, and advertising. He is also Greece’s most accomplished underwater cinematographer, contributing to more than 100 projects, and a licenced drone operator. Stelios is the founder/CEO of Out of the Blue underwater filming services and was a founding partner at Anemon Productions until 2018. He then established Aori Films where he produces documentary, fiction, and commercial works. He is an alumnus of Documentary Campus Masterschool and Kids Kino Lab.
