Hate the dispute

Agios Sozomenos⋅ for many, the abandoned, formerly mixed village of Nicosia, is an instagrammable place. For its former inhabitants, however, it carries the pain that sowed nationalist hatred between the two communities of the island and led to its abandonment in one night, therefore we can speak of a little «1974». The documentary explores the history of the place and answers questions such as “How and why was the place abandoned”, “How did its inhabitants live together”, and “Why is Queen Ekaterini Cornaro not the founder of the church of Agios Mama”, etc. Interviews were granted by Mrs. Nasa Patapiou, as well as Mr. Ibrahim Aziz.
