Encounters within the Walls of Nicosia: Today and Yesterday

The Turkish invasion of 1974, changed the lives of all the residents of Cyprus changed. However, we were preoccupied with the question of the impact on the lives of the people within the walls of Nicosia – the only remaining divided city in the world. That is why we took it upon ourselves to investigate by asking the locals who experienced and witnessed these events firsthand. We ended up with three people: Mrs. Androula Michailidou, tour guide, Mr. Antonis Koupparis, secretary of the Nicosia Pedestrian Association, and Mr. Kostas Vrontis, owner of Heraklis ice creams. Everyone envisions Nicosia to stop being the last divided capital in Europe.
